I started postcrossing in 2016, sent my last postcard at the end of 2019. In 3,5 years I received and sent 61 postcards. Gradually I stopped sending postcards and just kept them, occasionally looking at them. There was a desire to look at them more closely, to find something I may not have seen before, or paid attention to. To look at them from a different angle after a while. I studied the accounts of people who sent me postcards. I looked at the stamps, I looked for patterns, I looked for interesting stories. I met very active users, and those who stopped sending postcards, and those who completely closed their accounts. The result of this research was the desire to update the account, and who knows, maybe there will be a new project.

My story is based on the postcards received, compiled in the form of a guide and divided by the sender’s country in alphabetical order.

P. S. Postcrossing is a project created for the possibility of international indirect exchange of postcards. The principle of postcard exchange is based on: — a unified base of all project participants; — a mechanism for issuing addresses, aimed at minimizing the difference between sent and received postcards for each participant. At the same time in postcrossing there is a system of indirect exchange: sending postcards to some users, the participant receives them from others.
